If you have one, use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to make these special treats for your favorite pooch.

·         1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese

·         1/2 cups vegetable oil

·         1/4 cup beef broth

·         1 cup whole wheat flour

·         1/2 cup all purpose flour

·         1/3 cup cornmeal

·         1/4 cup non-fat dry milk powder

In large bowl, combine cheese, oil and broth.

In medium bowl, combine flours, cornmeal, & milk powder.
Gradually stir dry ingredients into cheese mixture.
With hands, gather mixture into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface with a lightly floured rolling pin, roll out dough to about a third-inch thickness.
Patch dough together if it cracks.
Use a cookie cutter to cut out biscuits.
Transfer biscuits to a baking sheet.

Bake at 300°F for 25 minutes or until firm and browned.
Place biscuits on a wire rack to cool
Store in an airtight container.
